Description

Some folks say that Argyle created the Oregon Sparkling category. Founder / Rock Star Rollin Soles left his full-time role at Argyle to create ROCO, but over dinner a few months ago, he assured me that he’s still the consulting winemaker at Argyle. The fruit is from Lone Star Vineyard and Spirit Hill Vineyard – both in Eola-Amity Hills. This is a traditional method wine, using the classic grapes of Champagne. For the first fermentation, some of the juice sees neutral French oak. The wine sees at least 36 months aging on the lees before release. Lemon, pear, strawberry, chalk, brioche.
